The published v0.3.3 release is not end-to-end encrypted, and legacy room rows or backups may remain readable to hosted operators. Until every supported client passes the encrypted release gates, do not use Knock to share secrets. A future protected room will still decrypt in each participant’s local gateway and Codex, and any AI provider they configure may receive that content.
